Does anyone remember a magazine about Sephardic literature published in London until the late 1960s or early 1970s? My mother, who was a subscriber in Peru, enjoyed reading it.

A friend asked me about a fire in a Latin American synagogue around the middle of last century. Maybe someone in this group knows about it. I don't.
Someone in the group, maybe Aron Sterk once asked if I knew any Montesinos in New York. I met Ellis Verdi, Bella Montesinos' grandson, a couple of times at mutual cousins' weddings. The Association of Language Academies, ASALE (Asociación de Academias de la Lengua) has named eight specialists in Judeo-Spanish: six Israelis, one Swiss, and one Italian. The Director of RAE (Real Academia Española /Spanish Royal Academy) stated: "The absence of ladino in ASALE deprives us of a historical dimension”. RAE is interested in incorporating a Judeo-Spanish Academy.
