I seek geneaogical info on the family of my cousin-in-law, Frank Mendes. Frank was born July 15, 1904, in Port of Spain, Trinidad. I believe he was the son of Alfred Mendes. Any info would be appreciated.

A few years ago, my pronunciation of "מנהג" was criticized for being Ashkenazic. I've been wondering what the traditional S&P pronunciation of "מנהג" is, if there is one.

I've hit a wall trying to find more info about these people who are in the 1940 US census, living in Palmetto, Manatee County, Florida:ALEX PASSEL, age 62, born in Jerusalemhis wife, KARELO PASSEL, age 65, born in Greecetheir daughter, PAULINE PASSEL, age 21, born in Florida.They lived in the same house in 1935.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a copy of Dobrinsky's "A Treasury of Sephardic Laws and Customs." I would appreciate info on another source or two more focused on S&P traditions and minhagim.

Years ago, I read that prior to expulsion, Jews in Navarre (I think the Pamplona region) practiced some unique minhagim, but have been unable to confirm it. I have lost the reference and would appreciate any relevant information.

Years ago, I read that Jews in and around Pamplona had unique minhagim. I can't find the source. Is there a compilation of pre-Expulsion Spanish minhagim?
