Hi everyone, need your help. All the photos that I have of my father Edmundo Menasce 1904-1954, son of Simon [Moshe] Menashe are from the early 1940's and later in Argentina. I have posted a few on this site including some of his family members. I realize this is a real long shot but hoping someone just might have some older photos of him or any of his family before the 1940's. Thanks for looking!
Question as to what to do. From time to time I work on the loose photos that were my parents, Edmundo[Simon Menashe] and Susan Menasce. Most don't have any info on the back. I don't know what to do with the photos I don't recognize anyone. They possibly might be just friends. Do I just throw them away?
What is your opinion on the following. My mother and her family all are from Germany. My father and all his family are from Rhodes. I was born in Argentina and came to the US when I was 5 years old. Would my sons and grandchildren be of just European descent OR also considered part of Latino descent? Thanks as we all have different opinions on this .
I think I posted this Jan. 6, 1924 photo of my grandfather Simon /Shimon Menashe before but hoping someone can translate the upper half outlined in red. My mother had written who it was and just wondering if that's all it says. Thanks
Is there anyone on this site related to Frieda Menasche? The reason I ask is because while looking for a headstone request someone wanted from findagrave, I came across this headstone. I was quite surprised to say the least!
Slowly going through some of my mother’s photos albums and came across this wonderful photo. On back of photo written May 1928 but cannot be correct. L-R: Mario and Betty Menasce, Alice (Menasce) Salem and Edward and Renee Menasce. My father’s (Edmundo Menasce) brothers and sister. Does anyone happen to know Betty’s maiden name and any info? David Zen Amoils
Is it just me but when I see someone post new photos and I recognize the name I get all excited. Only to find it's the exact same name but totally different family! I'll keep on checking and hope it's finally a match. Keep sharing.🙂
I recently found these two wedding photos "postcards" of my Uncle Eduardo (Edward) Menasce (Menasche) and Renee Surmany. They were wed 13 August 1937. Sent to my parents Edmundo (his brother) and Susan Menasce. I know these are also posted in the Rhodes Jewish Museum website.
UPDATE: I found this photo which I just added and trying to decide if it is the same girl? The new photo would be my mother's side therefore would not be from Rhodes. Hi everyone, I started going through my parent's photos and came across this photo mounted on thick cardboard and there's also a close-up copy of it, possibly late 1800's. I'm going to have to assume it's either a family member or p...
Came across these two photos of Emile and Claudine Salem. Children of Alice Menasce (daughter of Simon Menashe) and Samuel Salem. First one is 1949 and second one is 1952.
Found another one of Eduardo, Renee and sons, Simon and Lionel Menasce. Thinking maybe late 1940's? David Zen Amoils
I found this photo probably taken by my mother, Susan of my father's (Edmundo [Simon] Menasce) brother and sister taken in Israel 1983. L-R: Eduardo (Edward) [Simon] Menasce, wife, Renee [Jacques] Surmany and Alice [Simon] Menasce.
Hi everyone, I was wondering (hoping) that maybe someone might just have photos of my father, Edmundo Menasce (Menashe/Menasche)? I have just a very few and would love to see more or even of his parents father, Simon [Moshe] Menashe and mother, Sara Behora [Mordechai] Menasche. His siblings were Allegra, John, Mario, Edward and Alice. Thanks again, I really appreciate you looking!
