I recently returned from researching Sephardim in Mexico City. The Museo de la Medicina Mexicana (the med students dissect cadavers there) houses the Inquisition Museum. It has been open for two years. It was informative and graphic. My guide pointed out that the Secretario de Secretos sat in the corner of the room writing all that was said. I felt an overwhelming sadness as I looked around. The 2nd photo is of an effigy they burned. The 3rd is of a cell where many stayed without charges. The last photo is where the 1649 auto-de-fe took place.
