Ton Tielen here is the copy of the 1881 London census which includes my three times- great grandfather Abram Naar. According to a Geni entry I've come across, with a d.o.b October 23, 1837, this reaffirms the birth certificate photo you included before belonging to Abraham de Abraham Naar, son of Abraham de David Naar and Susanne van der Liet so I think you've found the link! His wife, Jane (b.May 12, 1838) is also listed as Marian, Mariam, Miriam and Mirjam Salomon Mendes Coutinho which could explain the confusion. It doesn't help that I appear to have three-four generations of antecedents all called Abraham! Thanks for the help in tracing my background :-)
