In keeping with the central goal of this group, please consider doing something practical to help preserve the Western Sephardic Tradition: give an end-of-year donation to Congregation Mikveh Israel. We're a relatively small Congregation. We don't have the resources or donor base of New York or London. But we're a pure S&P, and we've managed to not only preserve the tradition mostly intact since 1740, but to teach it to our membership -- the vast majority of whom have little or no Western Sephardi ancestry. Moreover, we've done so without sacrificing our traditions or Halachic outlook, and without adopting the kinds of unnecessarily stringencies that are increasingly popular in much of the Jewish world. Over the past two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has posed significant financial challenges for us. But it has also served as an opportunity, which has inspired us to make much of our programming available to the entire world beyond Philadelphia. We now offer daily Shaharit services, via Zoom, except on Shabbat and Haggim -- as well as special Zoom services for Kal Nidre and Tishang Be'Ab. Led by Rabbi Albert Gabbai and our new Assistant Rabbi Yosef Zarnighian, we also offer, via Zoom, a growing number of classes on a wide variety of topics. And we're constantly hosting visitors and tour groups, and sharing our traditions with them. Your support would be much appreciated. Even a little bit helps. You can donate online, via Paypal. All contributions are tax deductible under U.S. law. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=MWF5R9TG8V9JU
