1954. Yours truly being held by my great grand aunt Adele Miriam Seixas Naar. Eldest daughter of Benjamin Mendes Seixas and Nanette Hanna Baiz. She was born in 1871 into the world of "The Grandees." It looks as if I'm in a Christening gown so this is probably that day when I was baptized into the Episcopal Church. I can't help but think she is reflecting on how she came to be sitting in suburban NJ holding her newest descendant on such an occasion.
