Tintypes circa 1860's- 1880's taken either in St. Thomas or Venezuela from the photo albums of my great grandmother Maud Sarah Seixas. She labeled nothing and I have been unable to match them to any known family grouping.The one with the young black woman stands out of course. The slave trade in the Danish West Indies was abolished in 1803 and slavery itself ended there in 1848. The families all brought servants with them when they returned to the US at least one of whom was a native of the Virgin Islands, this could very well be her
