Recently, I’ve been thinking about different ways we can connect to plants, to the earth, and to earth-based Jewish folk traditions, and I’ve been finding healing and inspiration in exploring art as a path to connection. I’m excited to share a new book,* Illustrated Sefardi Folk Sayings: A Visual Companion to Sefardi Herbalism*, which is now available for pre-order. *Illustrated Sefardi Folk Sayings: A Visual Companion to Sefardi Herbalism* features original illustrations of Sefardi folk sayings that guide us through plant stories shared in *Sefardi Herbalism: An Introduction to Earth, Water and Plant-Based Folk Traditions of the Sefardim*. This book celebrates the earth-based folk culture of the Sefardim and the landscapes and seascapes of modern day Spain and Portugal, formerly known as Sefarad, through drawings, paintings, and original photography, as well as abridged offerings from the companion text.I need about 45 pre-orders in order to publish this book, and hope to be able to offer this book soon!
