In the book, Kahal Yisrael it is mentioned that in 1913 when the Jewish population of Casablanca was about 9000 people they had 12 synagogues (Although it lists 14). Here are their names: 1. Rebi Taliani, 2. Ben-Sabag, 3. Hazan Eizou, 4. Dahan, 5. Benarroch, 6. David Abitbol, 7. Banon, 8. Attias, 9. Ettedgui, 10. Rebi Isaac Marrache, 11. Ben-Dahan, 12. Rebi Eliahou, 13. Benzihou (?), 14. Rebi Sellam. I've never heard of the names Taliani and Benzihou. Does anyone have information about them and where all these synagogues were located?
