They married in Shanghai in 1937.Linda Hermosa HAIM was first married to Alberto Abraham COHEN. He was a Sephardic Jew, born in Istanbul (Turkey) in 1870. He spoke Ladino and arrived in China between 1904 and 1905. He was married to Linda Haim Cohen Notrica, who was also born in Turkey and arrived in Shanghai later, in 1915. The Cohens had five children in Shanghai and maintained a close friendship with the Spanish consul in Shanghai, Julio Palencia, and his wife.One of Cohen's businesses involved rickshaws, single-axle transport vehicles with large wooden or rubberized wheels, pulled by a person.In 1933, the Cohen family—Albert, Linda, and their children Gabriel (George), Maurice Albert, and Liliane (Lilly)—moved to Los Angeles so Albert could receive medical treatment. Despite this, he passed away on April 3, 1934.
