Rhodeslies & US naturalization.Mathilde BUCIUK (1912, Rhodes – 1995, Los Angeles) was born to parents with the surnames BUCIUK and COHEN.She married Samuel MANDIL in Beirut in 1936, and their daughter, Hassiba Eva MANDIL, was born there in 1937. It seems Mathilde and Hassiba moved alone to the US in 1947. I could not find any trace of Samuel.In 1957, Hassiba married Lawrence ALTSHULE (1933–2021), son of Hyma ALTSHULE and Anna GLICKMAN. Together, they had three children: Steven, Joseph, and Victoria. Hassiba passed away in 2021.
