**Eleonore SHEMARIA**'s family tree attached has been reconstructed using the 1920s Rhodes census and my research on Ancestry. The entire family had immigrated before 1944. However, I was unable to find any record of her father Joseph’s immigration, and there is no tombstone for him in the Rhodes cemetery. Eleonora arrived in New York in 1930 with her sister Fassana. According to the passenger list, they had an uncle named Nissim Hasson. Their brother, Mardoche (Marco), was already living in the United States at the time. The 1940 Census from the Bronx records him residing with his sister Eleonora and their mother, Mazaltov. Mazaltov had traveled alone to the U.S. in 1930; her passenger record indicates that she had a brother named Joseph MIZRAHI (1867-1940). Joseph was married to Mazaltov ALHADEFF (1870-1941).
