Élie (1911–1974) était le fils de David [Haïm] Lévy (ou Levi) et de Rizula [Bohor] Capelluto (source : arbre Levi Haïm Ovadia). Commerçant, né à Rhodes le 28 mars 1911.Il arriva au Congo belge à l’âge de 19 ans pour rejoindre ses frères, déjà établis comme commerçants à Likasi (anciennement Jadotville). Il fut successivement détaché à Elisabethville, Kamina, Bukama, Molongue, Demba, Kalenda et Luluabourg.
