We had a great conversation about Western Sephardic recipes this past Shabbat while at lunch at Bevis Marks, and I thought I would share one of my favorites, taken from the incredible <Recipes From The Jewish Kitchens Of Curacao> (quite possibly one of the best sisterhood cookbooks ever made). The photos are from when I made the soup for my class at the University of Urecht a few years back. One of the Gentlemen at the table mentioned that in Gibraltar, women who are getting married receive a handwritten version of the family recipes that are passed down. Do you have a favorite (Western) Sephardic recipe you'd like to share? If so, put it in the comments below. (Meanwhile huge plug for Bevis Marks which was even more incredible than I remembered.)
