The SANTA COMPANHIA THE DOTAR ORFAS E DONZELAS in Amsterdam has been discussed here on a number of occasions. I have been reviewing the sets of petitions of hopeful lottery participants and came across the attached. PJC Inventory Nr. 334/1156A, p 109. I thought it might be of interest a member of the group. You can see a somewhat faint family tree (the Penso family I think) offered by a petitioner in 1745. Presumably the petitioner was seeking to show at least a 3rd relationship to a member/brother of the Dotar in order to receive the most valuable dowry.
