In honor of throw-back Thursday, a few photos from Jewish community in Suriname. At one point, Suriname had one of the largest and wealthiest Jewish communities in the Americas. It also had the only semi-autonomous Jewish town (Jodensavanne). The photos are from my 2008 trip to Suriname.
