A little less than a year ago there was a fairly extensive discussion about the Touro (Fernandes/Rodrigues Vega) family of Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Part of that discussion dealt with a Dota winner, Lea Touro, daughter of Samuel and Rachel Touro. Although she was related to Judah Touro and his son Abraham Touro in the 2nd and 3rd degrees, respectively, it was not clear where her parents (who seemed to be both Touros) fit into the family tree prepared by Florbela Veiga Frade (reproduced here from a post by Ton Tielen). It is my recollection that Judah Touro used the name Gaspar Fernandes Vega, but I don't think he appears in the tree either since he would likely be too young. I think the Gaspar who does appear there is from the earlier generation, but I am not sure. Anyway, I have posted another Dotar petition, this one for Lea's sister, Sarah, that I don't think has been posted here before (if it has, my apologies). It is apparently dated between 1653 and 1669. This is the link.https://archief.amsterdam/inventarissen/scans/334/7.1.2.3.2/start/290/limit/10/highlight/7If I am understanding this correctly, Sarah is the oldest daughter of Samuel (deceased) and Rachel Touro. I am not quite sure how Sarah is related to Dr. Isaack Rocamora (a Dotar member who does appear on Florbela's tree) and Abraham Touro (also a Dotar member). I believe this is the same Abraham as above. Is Isaack or Abraham her uncle or are they both uncles? Does the reference to 2nd and 3rd degree relationships apply to them both or is it "respectively"? I found this very confusing. Thanks.
