Recently the Archives of Amsterdam digitized the papers titled "Correspondentie tussen de secretaris van parnassim en Henriquez Pimentel uit Den Haag betreffende Isaac Henriques Pimentel" which roughly translates to "Correspondence between the secretary of parnassim and Henriquez Pimentel from The Hague concerning Isaac Henriques Pimentel." From my research it is believed that the Henriques Pimentel family of Amsterdam descends from Juan Alonso Pimentel, 5th Duke of Benavente. It was said by a cousin I had contacted (although I have never seen it myself) that King Charles II sent a letter to Isaac Henriques Pimentel allowing him to use the arms of the House of Pimentel because Isaac's father David was proven as the grandson of Juan Alonso. Whether or not this is true is up for debate as I have never seen anything actually proving the connection but I'm hoping there may be something in these papers that opens a light on the origins of the family. I would really appreciate any help from those fluent with Dutch to review these letters for any pertinent information.https://archief.amsterdam/inventarissen/inventaris/334.nl.html#KLAG00378000001
