CARTON 3, by David Henriques de Castro. As David Henriques de Castro used the word Carton for his maps, I will use that word for the heading. I hope that will make it easier to find them again, later, when this Facebookpost will have sunk into oblivion. The upper half of several of the graves that were partly cut off on Map 2, are represented here. To get a picture of the whole grave, we should join Maps 2 and 3. We are working on that, but it will take a while. The graves in red show either beautiful stones, or concern some important Jewish people from Amsterdam. I show here first the overall map, than a zoom in, because the first image is vague around the edges, and the map that shows the position of Map 3 relative to the rest.Do not bother to make an index, as an index is alreay online through Dutchjewry.org. Follow the link, click on advcanced search, put 1614 in the field Field and press enter. There will be 6681 results spread over 335 pages. I also show a card I found in the index on Dutchjewry.org. I uploaded the burial card for Ester Baruch Louzada. There is an entry on the card that is called: Veld (Field) On this card it says Old, which in the datbase is given as: 1614 (the year this field was bought). Next to it it says: Carton/Rij, or Carton/Row. For this field Old, or 1614, ignore the word Row. Carton 2 means Map number 2, and the number 17 refers to the number you will find on Map 2 on the grave of Ester Baruch Louzada.
