This is the hamlet of Santo Polo. A hamlet about 30 miles from Rome. WWII it hid my Aunt Caden Sciarcon and her 4 children.She was married to an Italian sailor on Rhodes and lived on Kos. When her 3 siblings were freed from the NAZI camps they came here to find her. This is where my father met my mother. This is where I was born.This photograph taken by Giorgio Clementi is considered one of Italy’s best.As a footnote Marco Amato from Rhodes also ended up marrying my cousin Elena in Rhodesia
