Good morning everyone,Lately the group had some concerns about safety due to some strange questions posted.I guess the wording and that they were posted anonymously was an issue in particular.So here is something to keep in mind…only members can post and now that the group is private people have to answer some questions to join.Also we check the profile of a person and if it looks suspicious, no matter how they answer our questions, they are declined.When someone posts anonymously the admin/moderator who approve the post sees the member who is posting, so it’s not entirely anonymous.Many members of the group are not native English speakers so some use google translate…I shader to think how my letters in Portuguese sound to the native speakers.To be honest I don’t understand why people need to post anonymously but my knowledge of the world of internet is laughable so I have no idea what persons concerns might be.That said, if you see anything suspicious please alert us.We are not patrolling all comments because it takes time and we have our own lives, and we are dealing with adults.So if you see something concerning, push on that comment and hold. A pop up will give you an option to report to the groups admin.You can also write why you find a post or a comment concerning underneath that post or comment…I don’t know if there’s an option to do it anonymously.We want this group to be a friendly place.And while I’ve got the podium, reminder!Please keep your posts connected to the Iberian Peninsula Jews, past and present.Please, if you post something in other language then English, post a preface that explains what is the post about.Lastly, I am just curious about commercial and religious sermon posts.I know I post my artwork but I try to keep it to an illustration of my thoughts.Of course I add my information as I want people to look at my work.I have no issue with people doing that as well.We kind of feel undecided about what to do with a…well, sales pitch.I will leave this post up.Shabbat shalom everyone 🖖✡️🎗️
