There are many improvements. It is much faster now; images load within a second. It is also easier to switch between the Portuguese and the English version. Search is enhanced with AI and includes more fuzzy results. Digitised records are now presented with thumbnails instead of links, allowing to navigate large files more efficiently. A click on “View Hierarchy” locates the place of a document within a particular archive, very useful for a large one like the Inquisition Archives.Torre de Tombo has incorporated material from District archives as well,The link: [[https://digitarq.arquivos.pt/](https://digitarq.arquivos.pt/)](https://digitarq.arquivos.pt/)A short introduction to the new site:[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLtYy_Vpk9o](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLtYy_Vpk9o)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLtYy_Vpk9o)*** ******Can you speak to Sephardic World?***Every Sephardic family has a unique story to tell. The Herem against Spinoza is famous, but what is a Herem? In his Sephardic World talk, Professor Yitzhak Melamed distinguished between fact and fiction in this milestone of Sephardic history. He discussed the text of the Herem. Why did leaders of a community that had itself faced persecution resort to this measure? Can we know their motivations? Yitzhak Melamed is professor in the Department of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University.[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_nDRHn_Ycg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_nDRHn_Ycg)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_nDRHn_Ycg)* **Best wishes**Ton and David**Sephardic World *
