These young men are shoah survivors from Rhodes. I tried to locate all of them in the family tree and almost succeeded. They are: From left to right: Abramo Levi, Giacomo Hasson, Vittorio Hasson, Samuele Modiano, Eliezer Surmani, Giuseppe (Pepo) Cordoval, Jack Cordoval, Giuseppe Conè, Nel Alhadeff and Giuseppe Hasson in Ostia (Rome) in 1946 (Rhodes Jewish Historical Foundation Archives ; Taken from: www.rhodesjewishmuseum.org). But who was Jack Cordoval? I have one in my tree, but he didn't survive. There are 3 survivors called Cordoval, one is Giuseppe, he's in the photo, and the other two are Eliakim and David Cordoval. He doesn't look like Eliakim. But he looks like David. Is it a mistake in the label or was David Cordoval called Jack, too?
