Piyyut by Israel Najara (1555-1625)-->Jacob Wizman is one of the rare people from Casablanca that learned Moroccan liturgical songs with Rabbi David Bouzaglo. He was the youngest student mentored by Rabbi Bouzaglo, the master of Bakashot. Wizman began singing liturgical poetry in a choir of boys between 13-17 in this very Benarroche synagogue, and later studied with Bouzaglo from 1955-65.
