Ok orthographers, this is for you: I am trying to spell the given name "Fortunate" in Hebrew characters. The Fortunate in question reportedly never used a translated/equivalent name such as "Mazal / Mazalit," and there are no documents to indicate whether or how her family spelled her name in Hebrew in their correspondence. I'm considering going with "פורטוניט" unless someone here can propose something better.
