https://youtu.be/qdYDlaS3L3wThe London S&P community has, over the years, put a great deal of effort into streamlining the synagogue services. One of their more ill considered strategies was to eliminate the beautiful congregational chant for Hodu Lashem Kiru Bishmo at the beginning of the Zemirot on Shabbat and Yom Tob mornings. Thankfully this important musical component of the service continues, untampered with, in both Amsterdam and New York. The melody has not been entirely lost in London as it is used on occasion as a setting for parts of the Hallel.
