Although I have seen very many ambitious projects suggested on these pages, I think that a very useful and do-able project could be initiated without great expense. An oral history project should be started to record the memories, stories and melodies of elder S&P jews. This "foundation" could help initially by creating a template that individuals could use to begin their interviews in their own communities. At a step above, these interviews could be transcribed, or uploaded to a central site...or maybe some other kind of centralizing method could be thought of. I know that I wish I had interviewed the previous generation when I had the chance. But this is really a very simple project that could have great benefit. Any thoughts?
