Shalom. I attend Mikveh Israel in Philadelphia, and have embarked on a number of projects with regard to the local musical tradition. First, I have been transcribing the Friday night service, and when I am done, I will move on to Shabbat morning. I use Finale 2008 for music engraving (typesetting) and hope to upgrade soon. Second, my husband (Robert Ross) and I have been photocopying the archived (and not yet sorted out) music from KKMI's pre-WWII choir. Some of that has been put into Finale.I am interested in networking with people from other communities who are focused on music preservation. I was about to start a Google group, but I was referred to this group and will start by asking here for the names of others who are interested in music.
