https://youtu.be/ROTWeaGJNrAHashem Hu HaElohim / Hashem Melekh Rosh Hashana and Kippur.Although these selections are liturgically related, their musical connection is less obvious. While Hashem Melekh is clearly an elaborated version of the Hashem Bekol Shofar lachan, the tonal progression of Hashem Hu HaElohim would suggest a different musical ancestry. That said, their fusion is pretty seamless. This recording is of the London version which, in the case of Hashem Melekh, features both the rendering of the hazzan and the congregational response. The former considerably more elaborated than the latter. A differentiating feature of the London style compared to its Amsterdam, New York and North African cognates is that it ends on the tonic rather than the dominant. Please like and share.A downloadable mp3 of this recording along with over 90 other tracks is available at http://danielhalfon.com/multitrack-recordings/תזכו לשנים רבותMuitos AnosMunchos Anyos
