For those of you who read spanish, here is an interesting article analyzing the songs and poems recorded in Leonor de Carvajal's inquisition trial in Mexico. She was the sister of the more famous Luis de Carvajal, they were both murdered at the Auto de fe of 1596 in Mexico city. Interesting to note that many are mixed in both spanish and portuguese.
