In New York's C Shearith Israel 70 kolot are sounded (30 + 30 during musaf repetition + 10 before titkabal). In London another 30 are sounded at the conclusion of the Kaddish. According to KST it was the custom of the Eastern Sephardim (kabbalists?) to sounds 100 kolot because of Em Sisra (He is silent about Western Sephardim). They added their 30 though during the silent Musaf. I suspect CSI is the original custom, and London added an extra 30 at some point to conform to other Sephardim, but since shofar during the silent Amida was unusual to them, they mimic's the Ashkenazim (who had also adopted the kabbalist 100) and added them at the end too. This is all conjecture on my part. I'm wondering if anyone can add some substance or say what's really going on.What happens at other S&P synagogues? Thank you!
