Subject: Tefila ketsara Dear all, I would like to have some advice about a short (S&P) version of the amida.Next Sunday I am organizing a pre-Hanuka party in my synagogue. It will be mostly games, a (50% related to (sefardic) Judaism) quiz, singing a new Dutch hanuca song and to have some food. There will be somewhere between 10-20 boys/girls in the age 10 to 15. Most of them are not familiar at all with (our) prayers. Nevertheless I want to hold an evening service that will be about 8-10 minutes with some explanation, which will be possible for everyone to follow. I don't expect to have a Minyan. The way I see it I will sing hasjem tseba'ot with them, wehu rahoem/barehu say Shema out loud, then a short version of the amida and barehu/Alenu. I was wondering what the S&P tradition is when it comes to the short version of the amida or 'havinenu?' (I believe they're not the same thing). Where can I find the text of our version? And is there also a shorter version for the berakhot around Shema?Ans last but not least: is there an S&P melody for Alenu?Thank you very much in advance!P.S. Shavua tov!
