How are we preserving Western Sephardic cultural practices beyond rite? What can we do to encourage the develop new cultural norms with authenticity (whatever that means!) in a way that creates a positive buzz? Most of the commentary I see about cultural norms is about outside influences and how people see it. Doesn't anyone else think that we neglect unique culture in favor of the clockwork to our peril? Am I missing something?EDIT: I'm speaking of the public discourse, not indivual actions at home or what have you. I can find virtually no discussion on these matters... anywhere and having asked in person to the one individual who I know who would know anything, I'm told a sad story of what has been lost to time and circumstances. No blame here, just the facts. I want this to be clear, it's not a criticism.
