What is the proper S&P way to bless the Tora as a subinte when dealing with a tic? As we had a community that used this kind of scroll case (Hamburg), I’m sure this question can (could?) be objectively answered…I know the KTS touched on the matter, but I believe it doesn’t mention Hamburg and only talks about eastern Sephardim’s relation with the tic.In this situation (which happens to me quite a lot), I generally try to close the tic a little and do the blessing without looking directly at it.
