Does anyone has resources (in English, with the exception of R. Cohen’s site, which I’m already aware) describing in more detail the rationale/sources on the Cadish cal/col debate? I know the general idea is that Aramaic doesn’t differentiate its camats, but what’s the exact origin of that? I’m trying to start a conversation with a local ḥazan (he’s Lebanese and says “kol”) on the topic and proper fonts would be appreciated.
