https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-SeO2zh6NM# Nakdishakh (Baroque) | AmsterdamThe Portuguese community of Amsterdam has some truly remarkable music in its repertoire. The present recording is based on a transcription of a melody for Nakdishakh sung on the Shalosh Regalim taken from the David Ricardo collection published in 1975. The piece was likely written in the 18th century and, as with other compositions in that community, it may have begun life as the setting for some other liturgical text. Those of you familiar with this piece will notice that it has been reconfigured in this recording. Harmonies have been added, and the repetitions of some of the musical phrases have been eliminated, obviating the need to assign single syllables of the text to as many as 30 notes, stretching across five bars.H/T [Nachshon Rodrigues Pereira](https://www.facebook.com/ditismijnaccount?__cft__[0]=AZVgN4PpEI57J4a9WAzFG9REBp6vzz3hr_JSjRZ48tcTBxqfuUW0xDZXbx2-WvD9PN0CIBc6ljdMGAtY1E_Z27HG2k7V8vb2J9Hr4TF7OHo6RP_EwaF1QrM1iRnkF6doMVA&__tn__=-]K-R)This video is one of 12 on my Kedusha melodies playlist which you can find here.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvd3h2QBHjxQvx0HzNLHbkWE3NEDbbR-B
