One last historic prayer to share from K.K. Shearith Israel from the period of the Revolutionary War. This prayer was *probably* written by Gershom Mendes Seixas (1745–1816) who led the Sepharadi congregation in New York from 1768 to 1776 -- and was responsible for moving it to Mikveh Israel in Philadelphia during the course of the war.
