This is a slightly obscure request for this forum. If acceptable, I would like assistance in tracing records of manumitted slaves, or children born of masters and slaves, in London. This is a particular case in my Barrow family:There is a reference to Richard Barrow in the record of Joseph Barrow’s estate (source http://synagoguescribes.com/blog/Jewish-will-extracts-18th-19th-century/?value=360). The estate requests the Mayor London to emancipate his “colored boy” (son), with a request for the family to school and clothe Richard Barrow until he is twenty. There is additional mention of "John, Peter and William my three black men who call themselves Barrow to be emancipated in London."I would like to trace Richard Barrow’s story in detail, if possible John, Peter and William Barrow.Where are these records to be located in London?
