Hello all! I've been researching my mother's Dutch Sephardi family, and can get back to the mid 1700s in Amsterdam, but have drawn a blank on specific individuals before then. They were the Calo/Callo family. I've found the name in Italy, prior to them being in the Netherlands, but can't tie the loose ends together. Apparently they owned - or donated a large sum for the purchase of - the land on which the Esnoga was built. I'm not sure if the Esnoga holds records that are not already in the Amsterdam archives. Has anyone come across this name in their research? Thanks!
