1620-1660 Portuguese Records in Hamburg:I am searching for records in Hamburg from about 1620-1660 to determine if there is any connection between Mossé da Silveira (contractor of Hamburg) and/or Jacob Athias (contractor of Hamburg) who were betrayed in Diogo de Lima’s testimony at the Inquisition in Lisbon 1639-1644, and my 6th great Grandfather, Moses Athias da Silveira who died in Jamaica in 1698. It is believed that my ancestor arrived in Jamaica before 1675. My search of the on-line Hamburg State Archives and the Judischer Friedhof Altona cemetery suggests that the subject Silvera and Athias were not buried Hamburg.Are there Portuguese marriage and birth records in Hamburg that might provide answers?
