After taking a look through the Amsterdam Dotar records I thought I would post this sample Dotar “life cycle” for a 1711 Dotar entrant, Gracia Zacuto. Her father Issac was a Dotar member, holding Number 23. The original member #23 was Moses Zacuto, who died in 1623. I believe Ton Tielen said Moses was probably the brother of Abraham Zacuto Lusitano. In any event, it looks like this Isaac Zacuto was a direct descendant of Moses, which can be established in the Dotar records through transmission of the membership. If I am wrong about any of my conclusions here, please let me know. Also, if any member of the group is a descendant or relative of Gracia, I would love to know to. I’m not, but this was a interesting exercise all the same. Of course not every entrant will have this level of detail available.1. This first link appears to be Isaac’s 1711 petition entering his daughter into the lottery (sent from Hamburg). This is Gracia’s appearance on the 1711 lottery list (at #81 at the bottom of the left hand page). PJC, nr. 1144, image 300. I believe the abbreviation after Isaac’s name is “primeiro”, for 1st (grao).https://archief.amsterdam/api/file/A/yB253jd3y0xTKFoPUThSRTtMxMMC7Yc47YYRz6V24*VwlgBSpX6APrU9ZF9RtRyxefNXJXyeQ-PA25ajpAYy7w/f/A01949000300-highres.pdf3. They also allow me to connect Eliau J. and Gracia Z. with the Ester Jessurun appearing in collection of ketubahs in the PJC: https://www.dutchjewry.org/phpr/amsterdam/port_isr_gem_marriages/amsterdam_port_isr_gem_marriages_view.php?editid1=1829and this Amsterdam Marriage Intentions (middle of right page): https://archief.amsterdam/api/file/A/yB253jd3y0xTKFoPUThSRTtMxMMAaSw*ERwXHt*X8*FvzrFMQMhw48qjejl-44H3Bg4DrWtfds7WToKPaHt01A/f/A23389000135-highres.pdf
