The file attached is by Dr. Peter Ferdinando (with some small contributions by me :-) ). It traces the Ferdinando name back through the early community of the London Sephardic community via Antonio Fernandes Carvajal, and further back to Portugal and the Canary Islands. Other names include Nunes, Lindo and Rodriquez(S). Dr. Peter and I have been tracking the family back for around 40 years or more and this is what we know so far. Lee Fernandez - you should find out a little of my Fernandes(z) connection here. As you will see it appears that after arriving in around 1635 in England, by 1693 the family were pretty much assimilated. I hope it is useful to researchers albeit it is only a thin slice of the history of the London Community.
