Shalom, I am new to this forum and finding it fascinating. I am researching my wife's Sephardic forebears and wonder if anyone has a copy of Bevis Marks Records Vol 2? I am after information about two marriages: 1. 15 May 1728 - Abraham Gomes Da Costa married Abigail (Kethubot 5: 5). An indirect source I have seen (https://nationbetweenempires.files.wordpress.com/2018/05/vindos-de-portugal-before-1750.pdf) gives Abigail's name as Abigail da Fonseca, but I have not seen this anywhere else (such as Ancestry or Geni trees), and want to check against what is actually in the Records. Are the parents named as well? Also, this appears to have been a remarriage, as their first child (Esther) was born in 1700. Does anyone know how I would go about finding information about the original marriage and if they may have been using different names at the time, as I understand was prevalent in many cases for Portuguese Jews? 1. 24 Aug 1757 - No. 856.
