Further to my earlier post, does anyone know if and (if so, how?) the Gomes Da Costa family of London and the Gomes Da Costa/Da Costa Gomes) family of Amsterdam are related? For the London Gomes Da Costa I have the brothers Abraham (1681-1754 or 1764) m. Abigail (1682-1784), Isaac (1680-?) m. Ribca (1681-?) and possibly Solomon/Samuel (1700-?). Their father is mentioned in family trees on genealogy sites as Patrick Aaron Gomes Da Costa (1658-1712) m. Ann (1660-1728). Patrick reputedly died in London in 1712, but I cannot find a record of burial in the Bevis Marks Register of burials before 1730. For the Amsterdam family (sometimes also appear as Da Costa Gomes), I have the brothers Manuel (aka Emanuel/Imanuel) m. Ester Lopes Laguna, Semuel (1670-1718) m. Hana Abigael Lopes Laguna; Moshe m. Simha Lopes Laguna, Aron (1679-?) m. Ribca Lopes Laguna, and after her death, Sara Da Costa Gomes. Their father is Abraham Da Costa (1637-1695), who married Rachel Gomes (Aaron's mother), and after her death, Esther Abendana Osario (Manuel and Samuel's mother, and possibly also Moshe's).Thanks for any help!
