Where would I begin to look for lists of despachados to Jamaica from London and Amsterdam? Are there ready-compiled lists anywhere, or am I going to have to work my way through the archives? I am specifically looking to see if a Daniel Albuquerque da Costa went to Jamaica from Amsterdam sometime after 1725 as a despachado, or under his own steam. Also whether any members of the Gomes da Costa family went to Jamaica under a similar scheme administered by the Bevis Marks Mahamad. (I know of four siblings from the GDC family that did end up in Jamaica from about 1790, but I am specifically trying to find out if they were despachados.)
