Hi, I’m a first time poster in this group. My ancestors lived in Faro, Portugal and Murcia, Spain and fled the inquisition to Northern Europe, later settling in South Africa in the late 1800s. I am now hoping to return with my wife and children to reestablish roots in the region. I am an International educator in Drama/Theatre and English and would appreciate any connections, support or advice you could offer. I currently have a citizenship application lodged with the government in Portugal but I imagine it may still be some years before this is analysed.
