Good morning!New week! New month!Wishing you all a good week ahead 🖖I’ve created a very first “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine “ as a gift for my parents wedding anniversary. It hangs prominently in their living room 😊When I create a drawing first, the artwork often goes through metamorphosis while I cut different versions based on the same design.Remember, I’ve never done calligraphy. It’s a whole different type of art.The calligraphy you see underneath the papercut was actually commissioned. It was created and printed by someone else.Originally I only drew the outline of a bride holding Shabbat candles and a groom holding a kiddish cup, and a tree of life with the dove carrying an olive branch, in this case a symbol of peaceful harmonious marriage, in its brunches. At the root of the tree is word Hi “life”The talas shaped in to a chuppah and with the Hebrew in it came later. My parents papercut says mazel tov 😊There are other symbols in this papercut as well…hamsa behind the bride and a shofar behind the groom.I rarely cut from black paper.Just my preference. My parents huppah is red.The paper I use is silkscreened and not prepared by me. I preordered a whole bunch…different colours. And good thing I did as the company I am not sure exists any longer. The difference between silkscreened paper and any other colour paper is that the layer of paint lays on the top of the paper (the back is actually white). It gives paper the brightness of a painting and as those of you who bought my artwork a while back probably noticed, the colours don’t fade even after exposure to a bright sunlight. The mat however will fade if it’s colour, as will watercolour if I used it in the artwork or that calligraphy underneath so the artwork should not hang in direct sunlight. This artwork was so popular (remember I used to do many shows) that I had 500 lazercuts made. That was another funny story. This is a limited edition lasercut. If you are looking for a lovely wedding or anniversary gift (first anniversary is paper 😊) this artwork is a perfect choice. It’s affordable and you can ask me for availability of different colours .I don’t think I have a red one but definitely wine and rust colours, even a couple of black and green ones 🤓The majority are various blues and dark purple (like this one)Chuppah “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine”Song of Songs, papercut 16”x12”Sold matted https://kronickartstudio.etsy.com/listing/1343231036#jewishwedding #judaicagifts #judaicaart #jewishtiktok #artforsalebyartist #amisraelchai #JewishArt #jewishprayer #artforthehome #jewishartist #artgallery #JewishHeritage #jewishtradition
