Wishing all of our members and their families a safe and good new year/shana tova for Rosh Hashana. Last night most of my family and friends had to get into a safe room or shelter to protect ourselves from the missles shot by Iran. Although no one died from the missle attack--there was a terrorist attack in jaffo where 8 people died. Our world here is surreal as we try to go about our daily lives, every beep on our phones, every ambulance siren makes us check our phones to see what now. However, I am strengthened by the brave and smart actions that the IDF have taken over the last few weeks to protect us and change the reality of the situation and threats in the Middle East. Before we wish for peace we have to wish for those who wish to destroy Israel and the Jews to change their minds and ideology which is the real longterm problem here. I believe that the U.S does understand as do some Arab countries on how this situation could be different. Prayers and best wishes to all.
