Maybe this will be a surprise for members of this website but there is a Danish perspective to the story of moroccan Jews. I am publishing a book in english 30th of September called "Unbounded Jews. Marocco and Denmark in the 18th Century": https://www.amazon.com/Unbounded-Jews-Denmark-Morocco-Century/dp/8712075485/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2CE8LTIVOE0QP&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.yeGIzAI53MsZsT69-3STPaAukmCKefKZqpuGk0V6JnyICP483gUFixlqxF-t1otn.kuHMvtst5ETtel2EWYklhgk9NWu98EDxMmexLsM3PtA&dib_tag=se&keywords=Bl%C3%BCdnikow&qid=1725698443&sprefix=bl%C3%BCdnikow%2Caps%2C199&sr=8-1The book tells the story of the families of Sumbel and Buzaglo. Samuel Sumbel was sultan Sidi Muhammed Ben Abdallahs most important advisor for 30 years and his son Joseph was a prophet that came to Denmark in 1785 and later travelled to London where he married the hot actress Mary Wells. Sultan Abdallah chose Denmark in 1753 to be the most important country for Marocco because he was at war with many other european powers. In the Danish National Archives there are a lot of documents about the Sumbel family and the Buzaglo family. The Buzaglo family was also a moroccan family and they also came to Denmark and had trade dealings with Denmark and Morocco.I trace these families over 3 continents and they all had dramatic lives. The famous british historian Cecil Roth has written about both families but I can with documents and literature from many countries and not least from Denmark throw new light on the these people and their dramatic destinies.
